Computer games
Royal Danish Library's collection of computer games contains more than 4,000 computer games connected to Denmark. We regularly collect the games as part of the Legal Deposit Act.

Computer games and other interactive works published on physical media (for example DVD-ROM or cartridge) have been required to be handed in since 1998. Two copies must be handed in to the Royal Danish Library.
Computer games that have been published digitally, for example on the Internet, have been required to be handed in since 2004. We collect these games through online harvests to the online archive.
Legal deposit of computer games on physical media
All producers of computer games on physical media are obliged to submit two copies of the publication to the Royal Danish Library.
Deposits
A deposit includes two copies and can take place continuously or no later than six months after publication. Contact us if a different agreement is needed.
The individual producer / publisher has a responsibility and duty to collect and send the material to us. We pay the shipping costs.

Suppliers receive confirmation of receipt via email
You also have the opportunity to deposit small deliveries to us personally. Remember to write "Legal deposit" on the package to ensure that the material ends up in the right place in the library.
Return labels and delivery lists
linkWe cover the costs of sending legal deposit materials. You print the package labels yourself, which are used for shipping.
