Royal Danish Library has, on behalf of the Danish universities and other research institutions, concluded a five year agreement with Taylor & Francis in the period from 2024 to 2028.
The agreement provides reading access to Taylor & Francis journals for institutions connected to the agreement and free and immediate access (Open Access) for the whole world to the articles published by researchers at the institutions covered by the agreement.

- The agreement ensures that articles from researchers employed at the institutions can be published in Taylor & Francis journals with immediate Open Access (OA) to the publishing version with a Creative Commons license.
- The agreement covers publication in the Taylor & Francis Open Select suite of hybrid journals.
- There is a national ceiling on the annual number of published OA articles, which is determined based on the current level of publication.

How do I act as a researcher?
As a researcher at an institution covered by the agreement, you can publish your article OA after it has been accepted. See here whether your institution is covered.
When your article has been accepted, you as a researcher are guided through the conditions for approval of the agreement's OA conditions. The first step is to select your institution from the list to confirm your affiliation. Next, you will be presented with the option to publish OA without APC payment, and then you must select a Creative Commons license associated with your article.
The following article types are included in the agreement:
- Original Article
- Research Article
- Review articles

See in menu for guidelines for qualification of OA publication as corresponding author for agreements with the publisher and Royal Danish Library.
The journal list
On the Taylor and Francis website you will find the list of journals where you can publish free Open Access in hybrid journals as part of the Taylor & Francis agreement.
Golden OA journals are not part of the agreement on free OA publishing. When publishing in these journals, a publication fee (APC) will normally have to be paid in order to be able to publish one's article.
